Some of the links in my articles are affiliate links. That means if you click one and buy something, I might earn a small commission. At no extra cost to you.

Yes, that’s the disclosure. No, I didn’t write it in a boardroom.

Here’s how I actually think about it:

I’m not out here recommending random stuff for a check. If it’s in an article, it’s because I use it, believe in it, or genuinely think it’ll help you get hired, get noticed, or get through your Monday.

Sponsorships work the same way. If a brand pays to be featured — in a post, an article, an episode of Podcassidy — I’ll say so. Usually with a joke. Sometimes with a disclaimer that’s funnier than the joke.

The short version:

• Affiliate links = I might get a small cut. You don’t pay more.
• Sponsored content = someone paid to be here, and I’ll tell you.
• My opinion = not for sale, no matter which of the above is happening.
